Dancing starts at 19:30, and continues till approx 21:45, with a break for tea and biscuits. You are asked to bring your own mug, though we do have a few for visitors and for members who forget.
There is live music each week, usually a four-piece (or bigger) band led by Iain MacPhail. For many members, it is Iain's fantastic music that makes 'The Atholl'.
We usually have 16 dances on the programme each week, with the time balanced between reels, jigs and strathspeys.
Most dances are not walked-through or recapped, but programmes are published on this website, at least a fortnight in advance, in time for you to do your homework. Dances which are new to the club or are little-known are walked through.
Membership and admission charges are currently under review. Club Membership for 2019/20 was £10, valid from the date of joining till August 2020. Members paid £6 each week they came, collected at the door. Visitors were charged £9 per visit.
We have a Christmas Party at our last meeting in December, and an End-of-Season Party at our last meeting in May. Members bring food to share for these events, and there is plenty to eat. We extend the finishing time on party nights, so we can get in at least as much dancing as normal.
